Environmental Statement
Promenade Dental regard reducing our impact on the environment and making better use of existing resources as key to our continued success as a business. Listed below are some of the key points in how we reduce our impact on the environmental:
- Technology – We have always believed that by employing the latest dental technology we are able to offer our Patients the best of quality dentistry and importantly also reduce our impact on the environment. The Practice has been digital since it opened in 2003 and in 2012 invested in Cerec technology enabling us to manufacture the highest quality Crowns and Inlays on-site using advanced digital and milling techniques. This reduces material wastage, the need to manufacture off-site and the number of visits a patient requires to have a fitting.
- Energy Conservation – It is important that all patients and staff are comfortable in the dental surgery and waiting areas. To achieve this we do need to occasionally use air-conditioning units. We try and keep this to a minimum and have taken steps to ensure that doors and windows are kept shut whenever the units are turned on. We also try hard not to overheat the Practice by actively monitoring the heating levels throughout the Practice.
- Waste Management – All clinical waste is disposed of through an accredited contractor. We also recycle much of our non-clinical waste and are always seeking ways to reduce the amount that we as a business throw away.
- Promenade Dental is a committed to sustainable business practice. Any decisions that we take on the future direction of the business considers the use of existing resources, where possible the use of local businesses and how we can reduce our carbon footprint.
